Greetings Gamers of War. Inspecific 40K War. I'd like to start some interest in Friday Forty K at NuBrand. Two reasons, the holiday season is upon us, and we need to war to let off the extra steam that is generated at this time of year. Secondly, we have a nice tournament season ahead of us in 2018 and I for one would really like to test game lists and become more ... adept? More Adeptus! More Adeptus Mechanicum!~

Starting this off, I propose we start this off on Black Friday. So next Friday, roll of the fat with me at NuBrand. I'll be there around 5 ish. ... See MoreSee Less

So, finished Stranger Things last night and got the urge to play a game that uses gates to other dimensions but instead of me closing them, I’m going to use them as a source of power. Aeons End.........a cooperative deck building game where creatures from another dimension have come across to our world and destroyed it. What’s left of the people living on this world have fled to a dark and cursed placed called Gravehold, the last inhabitable location. Here, some people have learned to use dark magic and channel the energy from the breaches to fuel this magic. Now some breach mages have the power to open and close these at will and fight the creatures that have crossed over into this world.

Quick review: I tend to love deck building games. This game uses a market place that deck building games are known for. What makes this game different is that there is no shuffling. The cards that are purchased and spells that are used are immediately placed in your discard pile. Cards used to purchase other cards and relics played that turn are placed in the discard pile in the order that you choose. When your deck runs out, the discard pile is simply flipped over to form your new deck so, you must choose wisely in terms of how you are going to discard certain cards.
My favorite deck builder right now is Clank! But I have a few others that I enjoy as well and are more traditional interns of deck building. The one that comes to mind is Xenoshyft. Love that game! But Aeon’s end jumped into my top 3 favorite deck builders. Extremely fun and I can’t wait to get others to try it. ... See MoreSee Less
